Using SignPresenter Outside the USA

SignPresenter is available worldwide, but the Fire TV app is published in the US Amazon store. If you're outside the USA you may need to switch your Amazon account's country to install it. The steps below walk you through it.

Before you start

  • Sign in to your Amazon account on a desktop computer first — most of the changes happen on the Amazon website, not the Fire TV.

Step 1: Go to "Manage Your Content and Devices"

Step 2: Click the "Preferences" tab

Step 3: Open Country Settings

Find the Country Settings section, click Country Settings, and click Change next to your current country.

Step 4: Pick a US address

You can use any real US address — a random address generator is fine. Click Update.

Step 5: Match the time zone on the Fire Stick

After changing your account country:

  1. From the Fire Stick Home screen go to Settings → Preferences → Time Zone → Time Zone.
  2. Pick United States/United Kingdom and any time zone in the country you chose. (You can switch this back later.)
  3. Restart the Fire TV by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
  4. Once it boots, use the search icon (magnifying glass) at the top of the home menu to find and download SignPresenter.

Step 6: If you can't download from the Fire Stick directly

There's a known Amazon bug that prevents some users from downloading apps directly on the device. Workaround:

  1. On your computer, go to amazon.com and search for the app.

  2. On the app's page, choose your Fire TV from the dropdown and click Deliver.

    If Deliver isn't available, log into the Fire TV with your Amazon account and try again.

The app will appear on your Fire TV within a few minutes.
