Subscribing to Feeds

A feed is a curated content channel published by a content provider. Subscribe to a feed and its messages automatically appear in your account, ready to add to playlists. Feeds are how you get prebuilt content like weather, trivia, ChiroThinTV, Lessons.church, and provider-specific channels.

info

Only account owners can subscribe to or cancel feeds (because subscriptions affect billing). Other users can use the content once it's subscribed.

How feeds work

There are two flavors:

  • Playlist mode — the feed publisher curates entire playlists. You add the feed playlist to a screen and the publisher manages the content from then on.
  • Library mode — the feed publishes individual messages. You pick which ones you want and arrange them in your own playlists.

Most feeds also include subscriber answers — small bits of customization the publisher exposes to you (your zip code for a weather feed, your social handles for a reviews feed, your church name for a sermon feed).

Subscribing

  1. Open Settings → Feeds.
  2. Browse the catalog and click a feed for details.
  3. Click Subscribe.
  4. Fill in any subscriber answers (zip code, business name, etc.).
  5. Confirm — the feed's content is now available in your Available Content panel when building a playlist.

Most feeds include a free trial. Billing for a feed begins after the trial period ends and is billed alongside your normal SignPresenter subscription.

Cancelling a feed

  1. Open Settings → Feeds.
  2. Find the feed you're subscribed to.
  3. Click Unsubscribe.

Cancelling immediately stops new content from arriving. Existing playlist references continue to play whatever was last cached until you remove them from the playlist.
