Make Your Own Digital Menus

The Designer is SignPresenter's built-in graphic editor. Use it to build digital menus, signage posters, event boards, or anything else — and update them whenever you like.

Build a menu from scratch

  1. Select Step 1: Messages and choose Horizontal 16:9 (or Vertical, whichever fits your screen).
  2. Select the Designer template.
  3. Assign it to a Category and give it a Name.
  4. Click Launch Designer.

Edit your design

In the Designer:

  • Add an element — Click Add Element in the top-right. Choose Text, Image, or Box.
  • Edit text — Click any text to edit it. Customize font, color, animation, and more in the right-hand panel.
  • Edit an image — Click an image, then Image Options in the right panel. Click the selected image and choose Upload to replace it. Crop to fit.
  • Aspect lock — Set Lock to No to resize an image freely on both axes.
  • Layers — Move elements forward or back, and add animations.
  • Duplicate — Use Duplicate Element at the top of the right-hand edit box.
  • Add a new imageAdd Element → Add Image. SignPresenter inserts a placeholder you can replace via Upload.

When you're done, click Save Changes in the top-right corner. You'll return to the message edit screen — click Save there too to apply the design to the message.

tip

The Copy button (top-right) duplicates your current design before editing. Use it as a "save as" so you can experiment without losing your original.

Use a Designer template instead

SignPresenter ships with pre-built designer templates — useful starting points if you don't want to build from scratch.

  1. Select Step 1: Messages and choose Design from the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Designer Templates on the New Message screen.
  3. Pick a template, enter a category and name, and click Launch Designer.
  4. Edit the logos, pictures, and text — everything is customizable.
  5. Click Save Changes, then Save on the message screen.

Add the design to a playlist

  1. Select Step 2: Playlists at the top.
  2. Choose Horizontal 16:9 and click Create a New Custom Playlist.
  3. Name your playlist, then select your new design from the Available Content box on the right.
  4. Click Save.

Show it on a screen

  1. Go to Step 3: Screens and select the screen you want.
  2. Add the playlist, or schedule it via the Schedules box on the right-hand side.

That's it — your design is live.
